Let’s talk government funding for EV charging!

Government grants are still available for domestic and commercial EV charge point installs and so far this year we have helped a large number of customers claim money off their EV charging with plenty more in the pipeline.

Claims can be anything from £350 for a single charger, to £14,000 for multiple chargers with infrastructure and up to £100,000 for state-funded education establishments.

£45,000 saved for an Academy in Surrey. They have capacity for 18 EV chargers and will be monetising them to create a revenue stream for the academy. With our ground worker team, we are able to project manage all installs from start to finish inhouse. What’s more, being part of a multi-academy trust, they can claim for 40 sockets per academy within the trust so this will be the first of several installs.

£11,900 off for an apartment block in London. There are 14 flats and at least 3 residents have an electric vehicle. Having carried out a site survey, we have quoted for infrastructure and chargers in all 14 parking bays to future proof their residence. Just waiting for the green light for a start date and we will install an Ohme ePod charger in each space.

£20,000 saved for a comprehensive school in Kent with 8 parking bays. The school’s hall is used for many different activities throughout the year so the ability to charger for use will bring in an additional revenue stream. Work to begin within the next two months.

£5,950 saved on infrastructure and chargers for a company in London. We installed 7 x Easee One EV chargers to network with the 3 we had installed previously making it a cost-effective install that benefits their growing electric fleet.

£2,100 saved for a hotel in Essex who will be having 6 x 22kW Zappi commercial EV chargers installed just in time for high season. This will be available for their guests to charge and is a very welcome offering to EV drivers who want a place to stay and charge.

Add to this the numerous grants we have helped tenants, flat owners and landlords claim for domestic EV charge point installs. A saving of £350 can make a significant difference to the outlay for a charger.
