What's Included?

The majority of domestic properties qualify for a standard installation. There are various technical considerations that our surveyor and installers will run through with you, but here’s an overview. Don’t worry if this doesn’t make much sense to you, this is our area of expertise and we’ll make sure you know exactly what to expect.

The technical stuff for a standard install…
  • Up to 10 metres of High Tuff cable will be run and clipped to the wall between the consumer unit or electricity meter and the EV charger, up to a height of up to 1.8m
  • The charger will be fitted on a brick or plaster wall (or other suitable permanent structure)
  • All electrical connections need to be at the origin of the supply and the charging unit
  • Cabling is routed through a drilled hole in a wall (up to 500mm thick)
  • You will need a mini distribution unit or type A RCD in metal consumer unit
  • We’ll use up to 3 metres of plastic conduit or trunking to conceal any interior wiring
  • Full electrical testing and NICEIC Certification.
  • Full demonstration of the charge point functions and how to use the app

If your installation involves more than this, for example, over 15m of cable or needs any groundworks such as trenching, we will quote you for the additional amount.

what's included

The cost of a standard installation varies according to which type of EV charge point you choose. Included in the cost is:

  • Supply of the EV charger of your choice
  • Installation of your EV charge point
  • Material such as cabling, data cable, cable cleats, mini distribution unit or MCB/RCBO
  • VAT

If it is not a standard installation, for example, if you require a mounting post or groundworks, or you have ordered a 22kW (3-phase) EV charger, you’ll still be able to get an EV charge point installed, but the price might be a little bit higher. We’ll be happy to advise.

For commercial installations, the above still applies but there may be additional costs where applicable for items such as:

  • Back-office or monitoring software
  • Bump barriers
  • RFID tags
  • 3-phase electrical connections if you have ordered 22kW chargers
