UK's first electric car forecourt

Exciting news for EV drivers as the UK's first electric car charging station opened today in Essex.

The pioneering site located near Braintree is the first of 100 sites to be built across the country over the next five years.

The forecourt features 36 EV chargers ranging from 7kW to 22kW chargers, six Tesla Superchargers plus 90kW rapid charger and even a 350kW device that is currently only suitable for the Porsche Taycan but the idea is to future-proof the site.

Facilities include some retail, waiting lounge, WiFi, coffee shop and restrooms.
