Twelve new charge points for Haynes Ford in Maidstone
We may have been in lockdown for a few months but here at Home Car Charging Solutions we have been busy working with car dealerships ready for the planned reopening in early June and the launch of even more electric and hybrid vehicles. So when the Operations Director of Haynes Ford got in contact to discuss EV charging at their Head Office premises on Ashford Road in Maidstone, we conducted a full site survey to establish the best possible EV charging solution for their 5-acre site. With main offices in Haynes House and a large showroom and service centre, twelve charge points, both wall mounted and post-mounted were required initially to showcase their growing range of electric and hybrid cars and vans. Ford is among the vehicle manufacturers who has pledged to reduce carbon emissions and improve their green initiatives.
With in-depth expert knowledge of the EV charging industry, we recommended the EO Genius fleet management solution which is also available under the Workplace Charging Scheme. The bespoke system provides a future-proof smart charging system with charging power up to 22kW. The charge points are combined with a smart charging hub, EO Cloud software and built-in fleet management with the ability to connects up to 32 EO Genius charging stations.
Haynes history dates back to 1790 and was originally founded as an ironmongery in London. In 1911, Bernard Haynes was taken for a demo ride in a Model T Ford and was so impressed that he ordered one for £180 and so began the firm’s long connection with Ford Motor Company. In 2000, Andrew Haynes, took over as Managing Director and in 2009 took on the additional role of Chairman, making him the sixth generation of the Haynes family to run the business. Since 2000 the company has expanded significantly again and now operates with branches at Uckfield, Birchington, Wrotham Heath, Great Chart and Ashford with its Head Office in Maidstone.
