Brand new consumer unit for property in Croydon

We do like getting repeat business!

Recently a client we had installed a zappi 7kW tethered EV charger for called to say she wanted us to install a new consumer unit as she was planning to have her kitchen remodelled.

During our site survey for the charger we mentioned that the consumer unit was quite old and not up to current regulations with no spare ways. This was just an advisory and we fitted the charger with load management using a mini distribution unit with surge protection directly into the property’s main incoming supply.  The client was impressed with how thorough our survey was and how neat the charger install was and decided she wanted us to do this electrical work too.

We installed a Fusebox 24-way RCD protected consumer unit with spare ways for future use. We also wired up the kitchen ring main and added fused spurs for appliances and cabling ready for the new kitchen. The cables were run under the floorboards and inside the ceiling to conceal them.  The work was carried out by one of our electricians over a couple of days and signed off with NICEIC Electrical and Building Regulations certificates.
